TERM 2 UPDATE
Blessings Chinganga
in Grade 10 was recently selected as part of the Eastern Province Senior
Debating Team. Blessings was selected from many contenders from the
different teams that took part in the Provincial Schools' Debating
Competition. The EP team will be taking part in the National Debating
Competition later on this year.

TERM 1 UPDATE
Naledi Ntondani was recognised as the
best speaker at the debate against DSG which was held on the 18th March
as part of the Rhodes League Debates. VGHS won two out of their
three debates.

FEBRUARY DEBATING
NEWS
The moment everyone
had been waiting for, the “Beeg Bang”. An entire society of learners
were shaken by the landing of this Jumbo jet which was the opening
debate of the year where we debated against Graeme College.
The motion was
This House believes that co-education serves S.A schools better.
It was indeed a very interesting and tough debate but Graeme College
proved to have been readily armed by winning the debate by 3 points to
0. Thank you to Ms Abel for making this exhibition debate
possible, to the girls who helped set up and the society for their
support.
