Abuyile Mkumbuzi

Abuyile's Thoughts for the Term

Firstly, I would like to welcome everyone back after a well-deserved rest, hoping that it was used wisely and that it served its purpose.  Like any other year, at the beginning of this year we welcomed a few new teachers, our new Grade 8s and a few new girls in the senior Grades.  So, this term so far has been filled mainly with everyone trying to find their feet, either in a new grade, a new school or with more responsibilities’ for matrics and some Grade 11s.

We opened this year up with the focus of the year being one of the three core values of the school, passion.  I hope that everyone will try the best they can during the course of the year, to put this idea of using passion to conquer all aspects of their lives, to good use.

We are looking forward to Founders’ weekend which will take place after the leave out.  This is another event that often helps unite the school after the fun-filled Games Day we enjoyed earlier this term.  Well done to the Dorset for winning the soccer on the day and to all athletes that ran and participated in events.

I urge everyone to rest as much as they can in the next few days to ensure you are all ready for the Founder’s Weekend and Test Week after that.  On that note all the best to everyone for Test Week, remember to prepare well, push yourself and do your best because after all you reap what you sow.
