GRADE 10 DRAMA

The Grade 10 Drama class visited the VP Grade 4s on Monday the 5th of September with two educational theatre pieces.  Both focused on issues of friendship, the importance of honesty, and the dangers of isolating people.

With lots of dancing and singing and enthusiastic audience interaction, the plays were thoroughly enjoyed by perform-ers and their audience alike.

Shanice Featherstone leads the group in the "activate energy" dance.

VGHS LEARNER IN MISS EASTERN CAPE COMPETITION

On the 15th July 2011, Alexandra Stevens of VGHS entered The Mzantsi Africa Mr and Miss Eastern Cape. During the course of the weekend the contestants had individual interviews with the judging panel, they were expected to introduce a charity organisation they would support; say why they chose that particular organisation and also share ways in which they would fund raise for it. Alexandra modelled in the teens category and was crowned First Princess.  As a result she will be modelling on a national level, in Port Elizabeth, later this year.

SILENT PROTEST DAY

The VG learners recently joined the Rhodes University Student Body in a Silent Protest.  The protest was to highlight the plight of people who are abused and are unable or too scared to talk about it.
