A number of girls at VGHS do
a sport not offered by the school.
Non-school sports in which girls
participate at the moment include:

Taekwon-do
Taekwon-do is a fast growing martial art taking VG by
storm. Taekwon-do in English means 'The Art of Hand
and Foot.' This martial art originated from Korea and was
created by General Choi Hong Hee. It spread all
around the world and eventually reached South
Africa in 1980.
Training are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to
6:30 at the Masonic Hall.

ARCHERY
A number of girls take part in Rhodes University's
Archery Club. Participants are involved in
practices at Rhodes and age-specific competitions
over the course of the year.
