HOCKEY FESTIVAL 2011

The U16A hockey team went to Uitenhage to participate in the Hockey Festival.  Despite not having played together as a team before, we put up a very strong and hard fight against the opposition.  The results were as follows:

·       VG vs Westering lost 3-1

·       VG vs Kingsridge lost 3-0

·       VG vs Cambridge lost 1-0

·       VG vs Brandwag lost 4-0

·       VG vs Riebeeck Invitational won 3-1

The girls came back with bruises on their bodies but that did not discourage them.

We would like to thank Mrs van der Waal and Miss van der Linde for accompanying us and taking care of us during the weekend.   By Mbali Hlangani
